Kelly Balch Joins Goulden Publishing for Release of “Aphrodite’s Sister: The Goddess of Emotion”
Goulden Publishing and Kelly Balch are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of “Aphrodite’s Sister: The Goddess of Emotion”, the first book in a new series, the Aphrodite’s Sister Series, which intertwines Greek mythology and the human element through the LGBTQ+ lens.
Balch is an award-winning LGBTQ+ wedding and editorial photographer and videographer, speaker, and energy worker. She originally self-published 13 years ago but recently joined forces with Goulden Publishing for a rebrand.
Goulden Publishing, owned and operated by Myriah Gould, collaborates with authors across genres but emphasizes stories that empower women. The Aphrodite’s Sister Series does this and more with an explosive Greek mythology fantasy fiction storyline that offers an emotional LGBTQ+ lens. “Many people know Kelly as one of the best LGBTQ+ photographers, but the Aphrodite’s Sister Series shows that she is also a beautiful writer,” said Gould.
According to Kelley Jakle, actress in ‘Pitch Perfect’, “Aphrodite’s Sister is full of compelling characters, complicated emotions, and fun adventures into Greek mythology. Balch truly captures what it feels like to fall in love (confusion and all), and the wisdom with which she writes about the different types of love made an impact on me.”
“Aphrodite’s Sister: The Goddess of Emotion” is available for pre-order online and at major book retailers and will make its official debut on May 30, 2023. Balch’s official book launch will be held at Book Soup on Sunset Boulevard at the beginning of LA Pride month on June 2, 2023, at 7pm. The event is open to the public.
